What is an ordinary day for a mom? I used to know. I woke up and by 10:00 am I had cleaned the bathrooms, colored with Kenzie, laundered 2 loads of laundry, feed all three girls breakfast, took Meg and Maddie to school, vacuumed the floors, did a puzzle with Kenzie, checked my email, brushed all three kid's teeth, dressed them, fixed Steve's breakfast, and mopped the bathrooms and the kitchen.
After I picked Maddie up, I felt like my day was complete, and it was only 11:00 am. I keep wondering why so many people think stay home moms sit around all day and do nothing. I must confess that I used to think that before I quit my job 8 years ago. Now, I look back and wonder how would I have worked. I think that being a "homemaker" should be an extremely valued profession. It is a profession of thanklessness and often long days of overtime with no incentives. The pay is definitely not an underlying factor of commitment to the profession. Knowing what I know now, I can honestly say going back to work as a teacher sounds like a relaxing day!

Honey, you're definately due a raise this year.
AMEN!
Preach on Sister!
Sometimes i get worn out just thinking about getting out of bed in the morning, cause there's so much more to it :) But it's so worth it! and (I think) it's getting easier as they get older...remember adjusting that first year? and then having 2-wow, what a challenge! I can't believe Megan and Allie are almost 8! Allie still talks about Megan being her "best friend in the world"
We miss you guys. Unfortunately we won't be in JC for Christmas. we will be coming up Jan 13-16 to visit my brother and go skiing. Hope you guys get snow while you're there. we saw our first when we were in ohio last week, and the kids loved it so much! Do you want to borrow snow suits while you are there just in case? I have sz 3T and 6, plus snow boots they're so light I don't mind sending them (much cheaper than buying new) and we won't need them before we come to JC a couple weeks later.
