1. I have found it fascinating the response that Steve has had from his sermon. He really did an excellent job. I know that it was hard to say some of the things that he said. The funny thing is that I was not shocked at his info. I think that so much of what he said this last Sunday is just a part of us. We often discuss what the "Church" should be like in the next generation. I guess that I am just in awe that some of this is new thinking for some individuals.
2. My highlights turned out great. Emilee did a great job. She is so hip. I really appreciated her doing my hair.
3. I am now beginning to realize that our camping trip is next month. I am getting myself mentally prepared for it. For Spring Break, we are going up to Oklahoma to a state park to camp. The burnban creates a little problem with cooking. I guess that means cold food. Even so, I know the girls will have a great time.

Hey Wendy,
I just wanted you to know that the Holy Spirit has been so faithful to remind me to pray for you and your exam. I know with Steve speaking, on-call, speaking A G A I N (as Forest Gump would say, "I met the President, AGAIN") that you are probably juggling alot plus preparing! Just wanted you to know! V
Do you guys cook over fire when camping? NICE, if you do. Why not take along a camp stove, coleman makes a good two burner that would take care of most everything.
I'm so jealous!!!!!!!!
Cooking stove is the way to go! maybe you can borrow one from someone, I would definitly let you use mine if I was there.....I could always mail it...it is small, for backpacking. Great for heating up Beanie weenies, soups, making mac-n-cheese, oatmeal, and yes...hot chocolate!!
We actually borrow a pop-up with a propane stove that attaches to it, but our initial conversation with the campground indicated that any kind of flame is prohibited--electricity only. I'm not so sure it's true, but it could be. We've got a serious drought going on and there are new fires every week or so.
Thanks V.
Penny, do you mean MRE's (meals ready to eat) because if you do you probably meant the army not astronauts. astronauts only eat space icecream.
MREs are nasty, and you have to hydrate them, you might as well make your own food and dehydrate it, it would taste much better. either way, you usually want hot water to hydrate with, or it's even more nasty
a couple sites i found that looked interesting

http://eartheasy.com/sun_oven.htm this is expensive, but a cool concept :)
you could cook using the heat of your engine on your car...at least to boil water :)
